UPDATE: 2018 / 2019 Activity Day Leader Planner

Hello again!

I've had a handful of people reach out to me asking if I planned on doing a 2018/2018 Activity Day Leader Planner, and the answer is YES!

If you don't have your hands on the complete planner, click here to see if it's something you'd be interested in purchasing. Again, I know this is priced low. As someone who serves in the church as an Activity Day leader, I wanted to create something beautiful and useful, but not break the bank for other sisters who want to serve to the fullest and stay organized in a unique way.

I didn't make a TON of changes, so for those of you who have purchased the 2017 planner and feel 'jipped', I sure hope this post helps!

The only two things different in the planner itself, are the calendar overview and yearly activity overview pages. The calendar overview page has 2018 and 2019 on it, and there's now a 2019 activity overview page. You are more than welcome to download them for free. See the links below the following pictures to download:

Now, there are a few new things I've added to the 2018/2019 planner bundle.
The first one is: Activity Day Invitations. I wanted to make cute invites that you can pass out to your girls in Primary Opening Exercises or mail out. I also thought that these could be great missionary tools, and your Activity Day girls could pass some out to their friends. I made 5 different designs, if you want all 5 patterns, are more than welcome to purchase the whole planner bundle, or purchase them separately here.

I am going to throw a freebie Activity Day invitation here as well for the blush/polka dot design.

The second, and last new addition to the bundle is a Welcome Favor tag. You can purchase it separately here, or click on the link below the picture for free.

And that's all I have for now.. I may or may not be working on a special work book for Activity Day girls. I'm SUPER excited to show you everything when it's all finished. Until then... :)

I am a Child of God: 2018 LDS Primary Theme

Hey there!

I have been so excited to get everything ready for this blog post. It took me a little over a month to get everything put together, but here we are!

I was asked to create a 2018 primary theme bundle to match the 2017-2018 Activity Day planner I designed here. Naturally, I accepted the challenge. This has been the biggest project I've taken on in my entire graphic design 'career'.

Some people say I'm not charging enough. Well, here's the deal: when creating this, I felt so much love for the primary children all over the world. I wanted to create something that would be budget friendly. As being a primary secretary for only a few months, I've come to know some of these printables that I had created for myself and for my other presidency sisters, as very useful tools. I wanted to create something beautiful and make it available to primary leaders country/world wide and not ask them to break the bank. Yes, I still make profit, but knowing that at least someone out there can use these printables and enjoy them, makes my heart full. Does that make any sense? Maybe I should stop typing and just get to the pictures already. I'm sensing rambling.

In this post, I wanted to share the yellow version end results and a few freebies!
To view the pink version, click here.

Here's the main listing photo I have for the 2018 Primary Bundle. This is the second main listing photo I created for this project. I didn't like how the first version was sloppy and didn't seem to have much thought put into it. I'll admit, it was the last thing I put together out of everything, and I got too excited to have it finished.

So what all do you get in said bundle?

Here's the low-down:

NEW: 2017-2018 LDS Activity Day Leader Planner

Hey everyone!

I want to share something that I'm over-the-moon excited about and that is also near and dear to my heart.  In case you didn't know already, I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I was recently called (again) to be an Activity Day Leader over the 8-9 year old girls within my ward boundaries. For those of you who don't know what that is - think Jr. Youth Group or Boy Scouts - but on the more spiritual/home making side of it.

Wanting to take my calling further this time, as well as realizing that I am much more effective at life if I write things down, I started the hunt for Activity Day helpers on Pinterest. While I found a handful of things, they weren't quite what I was looking for, so I decided to make something for myself. Thus - my Activity Day Leader planner was born.

Please enjoy my crappy phone pictures. I am not a photographer. One day I'll get there and have beautiful real-life photos
for you to feast your eyes on, but this will have to do for now.

Over the last two weeks, I have put almost all of my free time into this planner. I loved creating the pages so much, that this won't be the last planner printable you'll see from me. (Think Activity Day work book for the girls, Activity Day activity ideas and printables, Recipe Binder, Meal Planning Binder, Budget Binder) Do you feel the excitement from the endless possibilities?

So... what's in this planner anyway? First off, you can purchase the planner here at my Etsy shop. I wanted to keep it affordable, in hopes of getting a little profit, but mostly wanting to share my love of the design as well as Activity Days with my fellow Activity Day Leader sisters.

If you purchase the planner on Etsy, you will receive three different 8.5" x 11" PDF files:

· Full Color - Front Binder Cover, Binder "Binding" Slip, Back Binder "Gospel Principles" Cover
· Full Color - 17 inside planner pages
· Black & White/Gray Scale - 17 inside planner pages

The inside planner pages included are:

✿ 2017 - 2018 Calendar Year Overview
✿ Faith in God Individual Progress Tracker
✿ Faith in God Group Progress Tracker
✿ All About Me
✿ Activity Birthday Lists (3 pages total)
✿ Class Contact List
✿ Leadership Contact Lists (2 pages total)
✿ Faith in God Advanced Activity Planner
✿ Faith in God Activity Brainstorming
✿ Activity Attendance Sheet
✿ Activity Days Leader Meeting Agenda
✿ 2017 Year Activity Overview
✿ 2018 Year Activity Overview
✿ Activity Days Budget Sheet

Thank you so much for reading! I'd love to hear any feedback you may have. If this is received well, stay tuned for something special.

Cancer Update, Baby Showers and Fireworks?

Hey everyone!

I know some of you have been wondering where the heck I was for the last few months while my shop was closed. Well, in case you didn't see my Etsy message, I took a little bit of a mental break.

Last year I was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma. The tumor was located in my right thigh, just above my knee and it was 19cm long, and about 7.5cm round in the middle. I fought long and hard last year and was cancer free for about two months until they found a few happy little tumors growing in my lungs earlier this year.

Having this recurrence diagnosis was very hard on me and my family. The statistics and odds are not pretty for people with sarcoma metastatic tumors like mine. Thus, the needed break to be with family and connect with the people I surround myself with (a.k.a. the village of friends and extended family whom I love)

Taking a breather from running my business was mandatory, and I am so thankful for those who did reach out to me with their condolences and for those who are keeping me in your prayers.

And just so you know... so far the immunotherapy treatments they have me on are working! So there's hope for the future and God is so good!

Amidst all of this cancer craziness, I had the pleasure of planning a baby shower for my sister-in-law who is expecting her first child. I have three boys, and when she announced that she was having a girl, I was all over it. Naturally, I have shared a few designs with you that were in her shower theme on my etsy shop:

Invitations

Game Cards

Mommy or Daddy? (He said, She Said Game)

You guys.. this is why I love graphic design. This is why I love anything centered around event planning. I love this stuff. My family thinks I'm crazy, but I don't care. I love it.

Here are some pictures that I took just before guests arrived:

Words for the Wee Hours - A word of encouragement, a chuckle or two, give the mommy-to-be a note just from you!
Please pick up a diaper and write on the booty, something to take her mind off the doody!
(I'm a sucker for poop jokes)

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G cupcakes made by my super talented sister-in-law Emily

What do you think? It wasn't crazy fancy, and no I didn't hire a professional photographer to captivate all of our shower shenanigans like you see for some of those amazing Pinterest party types. I took all of those photos by myself.. with my phone. #winning

On another note - What are your 4th of July plans? I'm pretty sure we're not even doing fire works this year (those things are crazy expensive these days, am I right?) We plan on having a low-key BBQ and enjoying time with the ones we love.

In celebration of our country's freedom, and since I know I've been gone for a little bit, I'd like to surprise you with a coupon code to use through July 31st.  AMERICA15 - use this coupon code to get 15% off your next design order!

I love all of my Etsy customers, you all are so good to me! I'd love to hear your feedback and please contact me if you ever have any questions!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend and 4th of July!

DIY Dream

Have you ever wanted cute invitations, party accessories and/or games for an event without breaking the bank? Our DIY printable options are easy, quick and affordable.

We offer the printable JPG and PDF file options for those who are on a budget, those who are on a tight timeline, or for those who aren't in the United States (Unfortunately, we don't ship invitations outside of the U.S. at this time).

If you're not sure what file to get, here's a quick breakdown to help you decide what you want:

» PDF «

  • PDF's are the best option if you plan on printing on pre-cut card stock (sizes A7 or 8.5" x 11" with two A7 invites to a page).
  • PDF's are best if printing from home or through a print shop like FedEx, Office Depot, Staples, etc.

*Most professional online printing companies will require PDF files. More on that in a little bit.

» JPG «

  • I only recommend using a JPG file when printing if you are planning to print through a local photo shop like Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Costco, etc.
  • Keep in mind that most photo papers do not allow you to print double-sided
  • This is the most budget-friendly printing option

                                               » ONLINE PRINTER «

When ordering from our shop, if you're planning to print through a different online printing company, please let us know which printer you're planning to use and what their bleed requirements are so that we make sure your printables are formatted correctly. Not doing so can result in important parts of your design getting cut off.

It's very important to make sure your online printer has a 5" x 7" size option before you order. There is only one online printer that I've run into so far that doesn't follow industry standard sizes - and that company is Vista Print.

I highly recommend using any other company than Vista Print. These are the specs for their "5x7" size:
Full Bleed Size
7.28" x 4.72"
185 x 120 mm
2185 x 1417 pixels

Document Trim Size
7.17" x 4.61" 182 x 117 mm
2150 x 1382 pixels

All of my designs can be printed as a standard 5" x 7" size.  If you were to print through Vista Print, it wouldn't print correctly, and parts of the design would look stretched, or worse: get cut off during the printing process. The sizes/specs that Vista Print uses are not industry standard and must be only for their equipment on site. Again, they're the only online printer I've run into that has weird sizes and printing requirements.

Other companies I would recommend instead of Vista Print are Zazzle or StationeryHQ. However, if you did have your heart set on printing through Vista Print, we can alter our design sizes for an additional fee. Please email me {gdesignbybecky@gmail.com} or send me an Etsy message if you have any further questions.

I hope that clears the air on this topic, I know a lot of customers have been hesitant regarding the printable files, but I promise, it really is quick, easy and budget-friendly! Or.. if you're really not one to do DIY printables, we'd be happy to print and ship your invitations to you.

Our current turn-around for a first proof to be emailed to you is 2 business days (Monday-Friday), and print-ready files are usually emailed within 1 business day from the time you approve your proof. Our printing turn-around time is 1-3 business days (M-F) and we then ship via USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail.

So if you're on the fence about placing an order, I'd be happy to answer any other questions you may have, or if you need an extra incentive, here's a coupon code for 10% off your next order: MAR2017 offer expires on Mar. 31st, 2017

If you want to visit our shop, we're always uploading new designs. Click here or click "shop" at the top of our blog.

Love is in the Air

Hello friends! It has been a while, but we are back up and running.

Before we get into the purpose of this post, I'd like to update all of you and let you know that I am officially CANCER FREE. Yep, that's right. I beat cancer. It's surreal, and nothing short of a miracle from God.

Shortly after my big tumor-removal surgery last August, my husband and I decided that we should be closer to family while I'm going through remission, and that way, if the cancer shows up again, we'll have family closer to us. So now... our family and Pineapple Princess Design Co. are stationed in Salt Lake City, Utah! It has been and will continue to be an adventure.

*       *       *

Let's move on to why I really started this post: Valentine's Day! Valentine's day is only a few short weeks away, and with that said, I came up with a few free printables for y'all. Who doesn't love free printables?

Love coupons are a personal favorite. These are perfect for married couples on a budget, and can be gifted throughout the year, not just on Valentine's Day. I tend to gift these to my husband every year (although sometimes he forgets to redeem them) and they usually get a good laugh. *warning, some of these may get things steamy* Each coupon pack contains a total of 15 coupons.

Manly coupons for him:

Thoughtful coupons for her:

One last design that I want to share (and it's one that I actually have framed in our master bedroom): is an 8" x10" I Love You Because... wall-art printable.  You can frame this and write cute messages back and forth with your loved one on the glass with a dry-erase marker.

Well, that's all I have for you for now.. I'd love to hear your feedback, and I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
